One writer says…
One writer in the 19th century said that the final issue in Earth’s great conflict between Good and evil is the issue of the Sabbath. The people who say that the Sabbath has been done away with are only proving her point, because they are making it an issue… Hmmm.
I read the book of Galatians today. I was challenged to do that by a guy who says that the law has been done away with. He particularly used the argument that the law was given to Abraham and was good until Christ – Galatians 3:18-19.
The problem with this is that he keeps the whole of the 10 commandments – except for the Sabbath. If it’s been done away with, it’s been done away with. Another problem is that the law was not given to Abraham, it was given to Moses. The only thing that was given to Abraham was circumcision and a promise (Galatians 3:18) and it lasted until Christ as a sign of the promise (Galatians 3:19).
But what does a person do with:
1 Corinthians 7:19 (NLT) – “For it makes no difference whether or not a man is circumcised. The important thing is to keep God’s commandments.”
1 John 2:4 (NLT) – “If someone says, ‘I belong to God,’ but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and does not live in the truth.”
If the 10 commandment law is no longer valid, then how come the disciples are still talking about it 40-70 years after Christ (see 1 John 3:4, Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12, and many more…
The 10 comandment law wqas given before Abraham – Don’t kill to Cain, Don’t worship other God’s at the tree in the garden, remember the Sabbath, at creation week… and many more. If the other 9 go past Christ, why not the Sabbath commandment. Maybe the Law in Galatians isn’t the 10 commandment law….

but not by fire, as silver is made pure.
I have purified you
by giving you troubles.”
